BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has unveiled a new single titled ‘Zen’ alongside a music video, ahead of the release of her solo debut album.

Jennie of BLACKPINK surprised fans with the music video for a solo single titled ‘Zen’ on January 25. The song marks the second cut released from her forthcoming debut solo album ‘Ruby’ so far, after ‘Mantra’.

“Nobody gon’ move my soul, gon’ move my aura, my matter / Nobody gon’ move my life, gon’ touch my goal, my matter / Nobody gon’, all this power make them scattеr,” Jennie sings on the new track.

The ‘Zen’ music video comes only hours after Jennie announced a string of intimate shows to celebrate the release of ‘Ruby’. Described as “intense and intimate as I like it”, the first show will take place on March 6 – the night before ‘Ruby”s release – at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. She will then play two more shows in New York on March 10 and Seoul on March 15.

On January 26, Jennie also updated her website to include teasers for an upcoming single slated for release on January 31 at 2pm KST. The photo features a tombstone with ‘Love Hangover’ engraved on it, alongside its release date, per Soompi.

‘Ruby’ was first announced last week and is due out on March 7. Jennie has since revealed that Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ and Kali Uchis are set to feature on the record as guest artists.

October 2024’s ‘Mantra’, which will appear on ‘Ruby’, earned Jennie her first solo Billboard Hot 100 appearance, after she previously appeared on the chart alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp for The Idol soundtrack ‘One Of The Girls’.
