BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo has released her solo debut mini-album ‘Amortage’, alongside a music video for title track ‘Earthquake’.

Both ‘Amortage’ and the ‘Earthquake’ music video were released on February 14 at 2pm KST. The record features three new B-sides apart from its lead single: “Your Love’, ‘Tears’ and ‘Hugs and Kisses’. ‘Amortage’, described as Jisoo’s artistic “rebirth”, was created to evoke “the emotional stages of love and the many moments of a relationship”, per a press release.

“My debut mini album ‘Amortage’ is finally here! It is a collection of stories about love – the highs, the lows and everything in between,” the BLACKPINK vocalist says of the new EP. “I poured my heart into this project and I’m so excited to share it with you all. Thank you, BLINKS, for your endless love and support. This one’s for you!”

In the accompanying visual for title track ‘Earthquake’, Jisoo picks up her phone to respond to a text message after she feels a tremor, however has her phone snatched out of her hands and placed into an evidence bag before she can press send. The video follows her as she is being questioned about her true feelings for her love interest.

The highly anticipated release of ‘Amortage’ is the Korean singer-actor’s first music since she first went solo two years ago with the single album ‘Me’. Released in March 2023, that record included the title track ‘Flower’ and one B-side, ‘All Eyes On Me’. It also marks her first foray into music since she established her own label Blissoo in early 2024, following departure from longtime label YG Entertainment months prior.

In the time between music releases, Jisoo has since starred as a lead on Coupang Play and Prime Video’s latest K-drama, Newtopia, opposite The 8 Show and Harbin’s Park Jeongmin. The apocalyptic romantic-comedy series marks the singer-actress’ second leading role, following 2021’s Snowdrop.
