Boldy James & Harry Fraud Drop New Single ‘Cecil Fielder’ Feat. Tee Grizzley, Announce Album
Boldy James has been on a run for the ages this year.
First he dropped the critically acclaimed album Penalty of Leadership with producer Nicholas Craven and then followed that up with another great project in Across the Tracks alongside Griselda producer Conductor Williams.
He now plans to release yet another “He’s the producer, I’m the rapper” collab album. This time he’s linking up with NYC mainstay Harry Fraud and just put out the lead single in “Cecil Fielder” featuring fellow Detroiter Tee Grizzley. The new song features the two Detroit rappers spittin’ that “real authentic D-Boy sh–,” as Tee points out at the top of the track, with the title name-dropping a Detroit Tigers legend in Fielder. Harry laces them with some smooth production, a sound that he’s cultivated and made his signature over the years.
Bars like, “Couple points on them joints, I can’t complain at all/ Real D-boy from Detroit, came up on yay and dog/ Probably should hang it up before them bi—es frame us all/ Nah, n—as ain’t gang with us if we ain’t felt no pain with y’all” from Boldy, and “Twelfth birthday, my pops gave me a stack and that sh– smelt like crack/ Before God gave me all these dreams to rap, I dreamed of scorpion stamps” from Tee prove why these guys are two of the best when it comes to raps about Detroit street life.
Boldy has been keeping himself busy. We already mentioned the two albums he’s already put out in 2024, he recently released a video loosie with frequent collaborator The Alchemist, as well. “Ten Pints” isn’t attached to an upcoming tape from them as far as we know. However, we will make sure to keep our ear to the street in that regard.
There hasn’t been a date set yet for The Bricktionary, but it’s slated to release before the year is up. We hope it’s sooner rather than later.
