‘Borderlands 4’ will have fewer fart jokes
Sam Winkler, the narrative director of Borderlands 4, has implied that there will be fewer fart jokes in Borderlands 4.

As reported by PC Gamer, Winkler responded to a fan on X (formerly Twitter) and gave some details about what players can expect in the upcoming looter shooter.
“So far every trailer has dropped a more serious/dark vibe. Are we up for dark humor instead of fart jokes this time around? Please say yes,” tweeted RealAlIturralde.
“Not at liberty to talk much about the content of Borderlands 4, but I remain firm in my criticism of Borderlands 3‘s overabundance of toilet humor,” Winkler replied. “I’m not gonna say there’s no toilets but if the word skibidi ships in the game under my watch I’m gonna cry real tears. Paul Tassi joked that we were gonna have a gun called Hawk 2A and a fellow dev asked me if it was real and I wanted to put my hand down the sink grinder,” he added.

The Borderlands series is known for its humour, but not all of it has aged well. Especially since the last mainline instalment was “stuck in a time when memes lasted months rather than days, when referential humor was still a novelty and not exhausting” according to PC Gamer’s review.
The word skibidi refers to a meme video series in which strange toilets with men’s heads coming out of them fight men with cameras for heads. Hawk 2A is a wordplay on hawk tuah, a phrase that shot Hailey Welch to internet stardom.
In other news, Idris Elba wants to star in a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 movie, and although there are no plans for one, a live-action TV show is in the works.
