Bruce Willis celebrates Thanksgiving surrounded by family in heartwarming pictures
Bruce Willis’ family have shared heartwarming pictures with the actor celebrating Thanksgiving.
Yesterday (November 28), his daughters Tallulah and Scout posted two pictures on Instagram with their dad holding a gift labelled “Best Dad Ever.” They also wrote in the caption, “Grateful.”
It comes after Tallulah also shared photos earlier this week of Willis and her mother/Willis’ ex-wife Demi Moore from six years ago pictured on his other daughter Rumer’s birthday, with the caption: “I love this photo of me and my parents!!! How cute!! At Rumer’s 30th.”
Willis also has two other daughters – Mabel and Evelyn – with his current wife Emma Heming.
The star’s family have been open about Willis’ deteriorating health, after they first issued a statement in March 2022 announcing that he was retiring as he battled aphasia.
Last year, they revealed that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia. A close friend later revealed that the actor had since lost his “language skills” and is no longer reading.
Since his diagnosis, Willis’ wife Emma Heming has continued to share updates about Willis’ health on social media. In March, she hit back at reports that her husband is “living without joy” as a result of his deterioration.
FTD is a rare type of dementia that causes problems with behaviour and language, according to the NHS. It affects the front and sides of the brain (the frontal and temporal lobes) and tends to develop slowly and gradually worsen over several years.
Recently, actor Haley Joel Osment spoke fondly about Willis, saying he would often “come home from school” to voicemail messages from the actor in the years after The Sixth Sense, offering his support.
Reflecting on their time working together, Osment, added: “He did everything in such a cool way, and had such charisma, and was the person that you want on set setting the tone for the sort of movie we were making, because things usually revolve around the number on on the call sheet.”
He went on to say he has “not spoken to” Willis “since the news of his health in recent years”.
