J-hope of BTS has started teasing new solo music, which is set to be released in March this year.

Today (January 10), J-hope took to YouTube and Instagram to share a new teaser clip announcing his next solo release. Titled ‘Beginning of a New Dream’ and set to a laidback hip-hop instrumental, the visual follows the rapper as he travels to Los Angeles and works on music with his producers.

“New music on the way. 2025.03.,” J-hope captioned on Instagram, hinting at an upcoming release in just a couple months. The upcoming release will mark the BTS star’s first release since completing his military service in October 2024.

The as-yet-unnamed release will also arrive a year after his March 2024 EP ‘Hope on the Street Vol. 1’. The six-track record featured appearances by musicians like fellow BTS member Jungkook, LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin, producer Nile Rodgers and more.

In a four-star review of that release, NME’s Rhian Daly described it as an “ode to the rhythms and worlds that have moved him from Gwangju dreamer to global superstar”, one that is “bright and brilliant and a tantalising reminder of its creator’s multi-faceted talents”.

The teaser drop comes just hours after J-hope announced his 2025 solo world tour, titled ‘Hope on the Stage’, which kicks off in Seoul with a three-night concert from late February to early March. J-hope will then tour from March through May, performing in the US, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and more.
