BTS’ Jin is adding a new title to his resume: Gucci global ambassador. The K-Pop star was named global ambassador for the luxury fashion brand on Wednesday (Aug. 7).

“I’m very excited to welcome Jin as global brand ambassador,” Gucci’s creative director Sabato De Sarna said a statement according to Women’s Wear Daily, which first reported the news.

“His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him,” added De Sarna.

In honor of the new partnership, Gucci released a photo campaign featuring Jin wearing pieces from the Italian fashion house’s spring/summer 2025 menswear collection.

The Gucci announcement comes on the heels of Jin’s trip to Paris where he carried the torch for South Korea during the 2024 Summer Olympics. The 31-year-old K-Pop idol, who is the eldest member of BTS, was released from an 18-month mandatory military service in June.

Rumors of a possible partnership began swirling online after Gucci reportedly sent gifts to Jin following his military release.

Now that it’s official with Gucci, Jin joins the rest of BTS in securing partnerships in the world of luxury fashion. Fellow BTS member Jimin is a global ambassador for Dior, V is an ambassador for Celine, Junkgook landed an ambassadorship with Calvin Klein, RM was named global ambassador of Bottega Veneta, Suga is an ambassador for Valentino, and J-Hope became a Louis Vuitton ambassador.
