BTS’ Jungkook releases new fan-dedicated single, ‘Never Let Go’
BTS singer Jungkook has released a new single called ‘Never Let Go’.
Jungkook’s new single was released today (June 7), as part of BTS’ annual Festa event, a celebration of their debut. The event typically takes place in the weeks ahead of their anniversary on June 13.
Big Hit Music previously described the track as a “heartfelt tribute” to the K-pop idol’s fans with the message to “never let go of each other’s hands”. The label added that Jungkook’s ‘Never Let Go’ is also “a token of gratitude for the boundless love from ARMY all over the world”.
“And when the days get longer / You fill my world with wonder / Everybody needs somebody / You been that somebody / So stay with me and keep holding on,” Jungkook sings on house song.
This year’s BTS Festa will also include an offline “free hugs” event at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul with member Jin — who will be discharged from mandatory military service the day prior.
Back in December 2023, Jungkook teamed up with Usher for a remix of his song, ‘Standing Next to You’. The original version of the track first appeared on the BTS singer’s debut solo album ‘Golden’, which also featured the singles ‘3D’ with Jack Harlow and ‘Seven’ with Latto.
Jungkook is currently servicing his military service, after having enlisted late last year. Prior to his enlistment, the K-pop singer held a final livestream, telling fans: “I love you guys, I’ll be back stronger. Bye, stay well!”
