The new music video for ‘Groin’ was filmed in London and helmed by Japanese director Pennacky, per The Korea Herald. Notably, Pennacky previously worked together with RM for the music video of ‘Sexy Nukim’ by Balming Tiger, which featured the K-pop idol.
The clip follows BTS’ RM, dressed in a dark navy tracksuit, as he walks along the streets of the city on a cloudy day while performing his new song. “I see what I see (Me) / I be what I be (Me) / I’ll set you free / Can’t tell me nothing, I’m so far,” he raps on the song.
‘Groin’ is the third song from ‘Right Place, Wong Person’ to receive a video treatment, following ‘LOST!’ and ‘Come Back to Me’. The latter was directed by Lee Sung-jin, best known for his work on the Emmy-winning 2023 Netflix series Beef, and starred Kim Minha of Pachinko fame.
RM recently revealed that he made ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ because he had been “unable to say the things I want”. He added: “I kept caring about what everyone else thought… I would feel like I’d want to die.”
In other BTS news, a fan of the group has reimagined scenes from the hit Netflix drama Bridgerton with orchestral covers of the boyband’s songs. This comes over the K-pop act’s hit single ‘Dynamite’ was featured in the show’s latest season.
