‘Call Of Duty: Warzone’ is bringing back a classic map – and fans are very excited
Call of Duty: Warzone is bringing back the map that started it all: Verdansk.
In 2025, the original Warzone map, Verdansk, is coming back to the game, and fans are excited. “I just fell to my knees in the GameStop parking lot,” writes JaredFPS. Verdansk was first introduced with the original iteration of Warzone back in March, 2020, and was replaced by Caldera in December, 2021, so it’s been a while since fans have gotten to play it again.
Many fans under the tweet announcing the news are sharing various messages of jubilation. “Best map in warzone,” writes one. “Let’s go,” says another.

What we don’t know at the moment is if the map will return to the game as it was back in 2021 or if it will be altered in some way. We also don’t know exactly when it’s coming back, just sometime next year.
As well as news about the return of Verdansk, CoD Next revealed some more information about the future of the games. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have full Warzone integration as previous Call of Duty titles have. This includes the new omnimovement feature added to the single-player and Zombie modes, which will also be coming to Warzone.
All your previously unlocked Warzone weapons, accessories, skins, etc., will be carried over, and accessible via Black Ops 6‘s Warzone integration, but you won’t be able to use them in Black Ops 6‘s multiplayer. However, your Black Ops 6 mulitplayer weapons and other items will be usable in Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be coming to PC and consoles October 25, 2024, and it will be available on Game Pass at no extra cost on the same day.
In other news, Alien fans are returning to a classic survival horror game that inspried the latest film.
