Camila Cabello to Open Up About Vacationing With Drake & Whether She Got Back Together With Shawn Mendes
Camila Cabello is headed to Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, and it’s already sure to be a juicy conversation.
In a Monday (March 4) TikTok teaser posted two days ahead of the episode, Cooper gave fans a sneak peek at the topics she broached with the 27-year-old singer-songwriter during the interview, spanning everything from Cabello’s recent vacation with Drake to possibly getting back together with Shawn Mendes last year.
“I don’t really do stuff like this,” the “Havana” artist proclaimed at the beginning of the clip, smiling nervously.
Starting with Cabello’s headline-making trip in December to Turks and Caicos with Drizzy – which at the time sparked dating rumors between the two stars – the former Fifth Harmony band member hinted that the vacay was actually the site of some studio time for her and the “God’s Plan” rapper. “It was vacation plus some work,” she told Cooper in the teaser, winking while taking a sip of red wine.
As for Mr. Mendes, Cooper asked Cabello the same thing fans of the former couple have been dying to know for months: Did she and the “Stitches” singer actually get back together for a time last year? The two packed on the PDA at Coachella in April 2023, more than a year after they originally announced their split in November 2021 after two years of dating. Later that summer, however, reports surfaced that they’d broken up once again.
Viewers will have to wait ‘til Wednesday (March 6) to hear Cabello’s answer, but the “Bam Bam” artist did share her thoughts about breakup sex — “Do it until it’s out of your system” — relationship red flags and falling in love for the first time at 17 years old in the teaser. She also seemingly joked about her complicated relationship with Mendes in response to a question about whether she’s a fan of getting back together with her exes.
“I think it’s a known, I’m a fan,” she told Cooper. “If I wanna text him, I’m gonna text him.”
