Cardi B & FKA Twigs Are Ready to Party This Pride Season by Headlining LadyLand 2025
With Pride Month just around the corner and a multitude of queer-focused music festivals kicking off in June, the folks over at LadyLand are here to give you one more headline-making event to consider for your Pride celebrations.
On Wednesday (April 16), LadyLand announced that Cardi B and FKA Twigs are the headliners for its 2025 event. Taking place at Under the K Bridge in Brooklyn on June 27 and 28, the annual festival — hosted by nightlife connoisseur Ladyfag and The Bowery Presents — will also feature supporting sets from Pabllo Vittar, Eartheater, Cobrah and Sukihana, as well as DJ sets from Hercules & Love Affair, VTSS and Danny Tenaglia.
The “Toot It Up” rapper famously came out as bisexual back in 2018, following her appearance on Rita Ora’s controversial single “Girls.” When fans accused Ora, Cardi and fellow featured guests Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX of queerbaiting with a song about bisexuality, the rapper said that she and the other performers “never try to cause harm or had bad intentions with the song,” before adding she had been with women plenty of times before. “I personally myself had experiences with other woman, shiieeett with a lot of woman,” she wrote on what was Twitter at the time.
Years later, when an X user labeled Cardi as a celebrity who “came out as bisexual but never dated someone of the same gender,” the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker didn’t mince her words, writing that she had had plenty of intimate encounters with women in the past. “Sorry I don’t have razr phone pics to prove it to you,” she added.
Meanwhile, FKA Twigs is currently riding the high of her January album, Eusexua. Fans of the avant-pop star will be excited to learn that she’s headlining LadyLand, especially since Twigs had to recently scrap the remainder of her North American tour dates and her Coachella performances due to “ongoing issues” with her visa. “it pains me to say this because i am so excited to bring you a creation that i have poured my soul into and i believe is amongst my strongest work,” she wrote earlier this month. “i know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows.”
Tickets for LadyLand 2025 will go on sale to the public starting on Friday (April 18) at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can register at the festival’s website for access to the event’s presale, which begins Thursday (April 17). Check out the official lineup below:
