The rapper took to her Instagram Live on Monday (October 21) from a hospital bed, complaining that a representative from the official services had arrived at her property after receiving a report of child abuse from an unknown source.
“For the child protective services to come to my fucking house? Not my house, my gated mansion, at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping because there’s an anonymous call,” she said in the video. “That my kids have been getting abused and beaten? Are you fucking dumb? This is when the pranks start getting too far.”

She continued: “We’re the only coloured people in my neighbourhood completely and for motherfuckers to pop up in my house with cops and child protective services because you motherfuckers wanna do an anonymous call involving my children. I promise you this, I’m gonna sue child protective services for fucking coming to my house at whatever the fuck time it is.”
The mother of three added that she intends to hire a private investigator to identify the anonymous caller. “We don’t play that shit. My kids live great. My kids have never been touched, never gotten hit, no matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids.”
She did not specify why she was in a hospital bed, but earlier this week, she was forced to cancel an upcoming festival performance while she recovered from a “medical emergency”. She had been scheduled for the One MusicFest in Atlanta for this weekend, but on Wednesday (October 23), she confirmed she was pulling out.
“I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at One MusicFest,” she wrote in a statement. “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there.”
“Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry,” she added.
In August, Cardi opened up to fans about a “freak accident” she had, which left her temporarily paralysed and almost caused miscarriage.
She didn’t confirm what the specific diagnosis was but did say it was rare and led to her being temporarily paralysed. “It doesn’t really happen often, but it became so big to the point I was literally paralysed. And that little thing almost cost me my little one to come. But it didn’t. Yesterday I was feeling good. I came home, but I came home high as a kite.”
Elsewhere, Cardi has become increasingly outspoken against Donald Trump in the US presidential race in recent months, criticising the former US president and current Republican candidate for promising police immunity.
She also recently reminded fans that she endorsed Kamala Harris long before Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
