Details of the streaming service's "bespoke" agreement with Google emerged during recent testimony in the search giant's legal battle with Epic Games.
Bandcamp United made the allegations in a filing with the National Labor Relations Board on Sunday (Oct. 29).
Epic Games notified hundreds of staff members on Monday that they would receive severance packages.
"The workers who make up Bandcamp United are essential for the future," the union said in a statement.

The "Fortnite" developer also announced plans to purge 16% of its workforce in order to cut costs.
The decision is a blow to Epic Games and other app developers that are required to give the tech giant a commission on all transactions in the App Store.
