"The U.S. Army and companies who engage in weapons manufacturing will not be sponsors of SXSW 2025," the annual conference festival announced on Wednesday (June 26).

The Houston Hottie will now helm the Aug. 1 headlining slot in the Windy City.
This year's event will take place in September on Central Park's Great Lawn, with more acts to be announced at a later date.
The event was slated to feature headliners Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood and Alabama.
The festival happens at Miami's Mana Wynwood in October.
Top actors like Kim Soo Hyun and Rowoon were also revealed as tickets went on sale today.
The event will take place at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on September 20 and 21.
