The Boss joins Michael Stipe, Kim Gordon, National singer Matt Berninger and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O, among others for Wednesday's (March 26) show.
"The songs that I wrote scream for vocals this time around,” Hammett stated.
No details have been given for vocalist Kelly Hansen's absence from the group.
"We were kind of embarrassed at that time to call ourselves American because of the dirty politics of the Vietnam War," Wilson explained.
The film will hit theaters nationwide on June 6.
A concert documentary about the group’s collaborative show with the LA Film Orchestra is out this week, too.
It's the first single off their upcoming fourth studio album.
The singer-songwriter also confirmed her upcoming tour of North America and Europe.
Tamblyn played keys and was the original lead singer of the L.A. band.
The Andrew Wyatt-produced song also features guitar from Queens of the Stone Age's Troy Van Leeuwen.
