Media business layoffs are hitting the music industry, with more to come from Universal Music and perhaps other labels.
The R&B artist’s team is currently in talks with multiple majors, including Republic Records, Atlantic Records and Warner Records, sources say.

Dubbed the Warner Music Space, the hub will house Warner Music Brazil, Warner Chappell Music Brazil and ADA Brazil operations.

Severance has signed flagship artist Dexter and the Moonrocks.
Albert, a veteran of Capitol Records and Republic Records, is also a co-founder of ska punk band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
