The Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala on May 16 will pay tribute to Republic Records.
The announcement was made just nine days after the two men worked together on the 67th annual Grammy Awards telecast.
The total includes almost $9 million raised on Sunday (Feb. 2), the day of the Grammys telecast, to aid in relief efforts related to the L.A. wildfires.
Chuck D of Public Enemy (which received a lifetime achievement award in 2020) accepted for The Clash.
The event will be held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on January 30.
Three Trustees Awards and a Technical Grammy Award will also be presented at the Special Merit Awards ceremony.
