The dates come as an extension to the previously announced run of live gigs from Van McCann and co. set to take place later this year. These include stadium shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on August 1 and 3 respectively, as well as a huge outdoor gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Now, the Welsh band have added three more outdoor stops to the itinerary, set to be held across Scotland and Ireland.
The first of the new shows will see the band take to Ormeau Park in Belfast on June 15, and will be held as part of the 2025 Belsonic concert series. The second will be held the following night (16) and see McCann and co. play at the Fairview Park in Dublin.
Finally, the third new date will be on July 9, when the members head over to Scotland for a show at the Glasgow Green.
The Wombats and The Fratellis have been lined-up as special guests for all three new gigs, and tickets go on sale next Friday (April 11) at 10am. Visit here for tickets and find an updated list of tour dates below.
Catfish And The Bottlemen’s 2025 UK and Ireland tour dates are:
JUNE
13 – Manchester, Heaton Park
15 – Belfast, Ormeau Park [NEW]
16 – Dublin, Fairview Park [NEW]
JULY
09 – Glasgow, Glasgow Green [NEW]
AUGUST
01 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium
03 – London, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The announcement of the new shows comes after some fans spoke out about the unfortunate timing of the London date last year, which happens to land on the same day as one of Oasis’ reunion shows in the capital.
As for new music, last February saw Catfish return with the single ‘Showtime’, which was their first new music in five years and followed on from 2019’s ‘The Balance’. Later in the year, they went on to share the rare bonus track ‘ASA’, which featured in the 10th anniversary edition of their debut album ‘The Balcony’, which was shared in September.
Van McCann and co. headlined last year’s Reading & Leeds festival, and were given a four-star review from NME. “They see where they’re headed. There’s a cheeky, brief nod to their stadium-dwelling countrymen Stereophonics with a snippet of ‘The Bartender And The Thief’, while the spotlight and theatrics of ‘2all’ show they’ve got the moves for the big spaces,” wrote Andrew Trendell.
“The widescreen psych wig-out and breakdown of ‘Outside’ even has a smack of Pink Floyd to it. They’re playing with a damn sight more compulsion than last time, and they certainly know what an enormodome band should look, sound and feel like. The crowd before us lap it up. Will they multiply to fill those spaces? Maybe the long shot will pay off.”
