Catfish & The Bottlemen have revealed the support acts for their upcoming Liverpool comeback show slated for later this week.

Van McCann and co are set to play their biggest UK headline show to date at Liverpool’s Sefton Park this Thursday (July 11). Today, The Mysterines and Sundara Karma have taken to their official social media accounts to announce that they will be serving as opening support for Catfish and the Bottlemen.

“Made up to announce we’ll be joining @catfishandthebottlemen for their sold out show at Sefton Park this Thursday. Be sure to get down early to catch us, see you there,” read the caption of The Mysterines’ post while Sundara Karma shared: “Excited to be supporting @catfishandthebottlemen this Thursday at Sefton Park! Which songs do you want to hear?”

The Mysterines recently released their second album ‘Afraid Of Tomorrows’ and previously spoke to NME about opening for Arctic Monkeys in UK stadiums last summer. “That was the most surreal experience ever,” frontwoman Lia Metcalfe said. “It still feels like a fever dream we all had. They really looked after us and it was really inspiring to see a band from the North of England in their position. As huge and respected as they are, they’re so grounded and humble.”

She continued: “Because they were so relaxed and had so much fun with every show, that loosened us up,” Metcalfe added. “It allowed me to enjoy how mad it was that I was playing stadiums with my mates. It was also a good reminder that nothing has to be super serious all the time.”

Elsewhere, Sundara Karma’s latest release was 2023’s ‘Better Luck Next Time’. The album marked the band’s third studio effort and was produced by Rich Turvey. The LP featured the singles ‘Friends of Mine’, ‘Baby Blue’ and ‘Wishing Well’.

In other Catfish and the Bottlemen news, the band recently announced a 10th anniversary edition of their classic debut album ‘The Balcony’.

The 10th anniversary reissue will be available on a limited edition CD, cassette, and vinyl. All of these formats contain six bonus tracks, including Ewan McGregor’s cover of ‘Hourglass’, the rare bonus track ‘ASA’, and ‘Rango’ (single version).

Additionally, there will be a limited-edition 7″ singles box set on offer, with only 2,000 copies available to purchase.

Catfish and the Bottlemen are set to embark on a UK and Ireland tour, this month and were previously confirmed as headlining Reading & Leeds Festival’s mainstage for the second time this summer. Later this year, they will kick off a North American tour.
