Chandler Moore’s ‘Live in Los Angeles’ Launches on Gospel & Christian Album Charts

Singer-songwriter Chandler Moore’s new set, Chandler Moore: Live in Los Angeles, blasts in at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums survey (dated Aug. 17).

Released on Aug. 2, Live in Los Angeles earned 4,000 equivalent album units in the United States, with 3,000 in album sales, during the LP’s first tracking week (Aug. 2-8), according to Luminate. Concurrently, the 15-song set arrives at No. 4 on Top Christian Albums.

Moore — who is a member of the collective Maverick City Music — adds his third Top Gospel Albums leader and his first as an unaccompanied artist. After his solo rookie entry, Feelings, opened at its No. 4 peak in November 2020, he first ruled with The Mav Way: EP Vol. 1, The Maverick Way, credited to Maverick City Music, Moore and Naomi Raine; the set entered at the summit in September 2023 and led for three weeks. The Maverick Way Complete: Complete Vol 02, under the same billing, dominated for its first of nine weeks upon its arrival last November. The latter two titles debuted at Nos. 2 and 1, respectively, on Top Christian Albums.

Richardson Back ‘Home’ at No. 1

Keyla Richardson earns her second Gospel Airplay leader as “Home” jumps 5-1. During the latest tracking week, it increased by 8% in plays.

The Pensacola, Fla., native, a finalist on BET’s gospel music talent show Sunday Best in 2019, scored her first chart-topper in August 2020 with her rookie entry, “So Good.” Her second of three charted hits, “Prayer Will Change This,” hit No. 8 in June 2021.
