Chase & Status to Headline London’s All Points East Festival
Drum’n’bass duo Chase & Status have been revealed as the latest headliner for London’s All Points East festival on Aug. 16. They join previously announced performers for the two-weekend event including The Maccabees, RAYE and Barry Can’t Swim.
Billed as the latest instalment in their RTRN II DANCE series, the duo will curate a day’s lineup at Victoria Park in east London, and will be joined by Overmono, Sammy Virji and Nia Archives. The group held the inaugural RTRN II DANCE event over three days in Tenerife, Spain in October 2024.
Speaking on the announcement, the duo say: “Bringing RTRN II Dance to Victoria Park this summer is massive for us and to do it with these artists is super exciting for our hometown. We’re ready to bring the energy and make it a night to remember with everyone who’s been on this journey with us.”
Tickets for the event go on sale on February 13 at 10 a.m. (GMT) at the festival’s official website. More names for the pair’s lineup are set to be announced in due course.
The duo, composed of Saul Milton and Will Kennard, formed in 2003 and have released six studio albums. Two of their LPs – 2011’s No More Idols and 2013’s Brand New Machine – have both hit No. 2 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Across their career they have collaborated with a vast array of musicians including Kano, Plan B, Stormzy, Craig David, Becky Hill, Stefflon Don, Liam Bailey, Tom Grennan, Emeli Sandé, Tinie Tempah, and more. In 2009, they had production credits on three songs on Rihanna’s Rated R LP.
Last year the pair had a No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart with their Stormzy collaboration “Backbone,” their first to hit the top spot. The track was recently nominated in the song of the year category at the upcoming BRIT Awards, held in London on March 1. They’re also featured in the fan-voted dance act category alongside Nia Archives.
