Check out the stage times for PJ Harvey’s London Gunnersbury Park headline show
PJ Harvey has revealed the stage times for her upcoming headline show at Gunnersbury Park. Check them out below.
Set to take place this Sunday (August 18), the show will mark the singer’s only remaining London gig of 2024, and is set to see her receive support across the evening from Big Thief, Tirzah and Shida Shahabi.
Now, just two days before she takes to the stage for the West London series, PJ Harvey has shared the stage times for the event – with doors opening at 3pm and opener Shida Shahabi kicking off the performances at 3:50pm.
Tirzah will then follow suit, with a set starting from 5:05pm, before direct support comes from Big Thief, who begin their set at 6:20pm. PJ Harvey will launch into her headline set from 8:15pm.
The stage times for PJ Harvey at Gunnersbury Park are:
Doors – 3pm
Shida Shahabi – 3:50pm
Tirzah – 5:05pm
Big Thief – 6:20pm
PJ Harvey – 8:15pm
Announcing details of the show back in October 2023, Harvey said: “I’m grateful to Gunnersbury Park for inviting me to curate this event. I have chosen what I feel to be some of the most exciting artists working today.
“With them, I hope to be able to give the audience an emotional, heartening and uplifting experience.”
Shahabi also spoke about being personally chosen by the singer-songwriter for the line-up, saying: “I am really excited to be supporting the inspiring and brilliant PJ Harvey, along with other really nice acts, at Gunnersbury Park in London next August, where we will be performing music from my recent album ‘Living Circle’.”
Also booked for the Gunnersbury Park series this year was KoRn – who played their biggest London show to date and first UK set in seven years – Tom Grennan, Peggy Gou and FISHER.
PJ Harvey’s set comes following her sharing her first album in seven years in 2023, ‘I Inside The Old Year Dying’. In a four star review, NME said it was “an immersive return from a modern master.”
As well as the West London series, Harvey has played some huge festival headline slots around Europe including Øya Festival, Primavera Sound, and Roskilde throughout this summer. She also played surprise hometown gig ahead of her Glastonbury 2024 set, and took to the stage at Montreux Jazz Festival 2024.
In a review for the latter, NME gave the festival a glowing five-star review, with Andrew Trendell writing: “This Swiss music mecca has been attracting the biggest names in rock, pop, and jazz since 1968 for shows that would be talked about for the rest of time, but you don’t make history by looking to the past; you do it by living in the moment.”
Next month, she will embark on her first North American tour in seven years.
The 16-date North American tour commences on September 11 at The Anthem in Washington DC and will make stops throughout the US and Canada before wrapping up at The Greek Theatre in LA on October 14.
