CMA Awards Nominations to Be Revealed Sept. 9

The final nominations for the 58th annual CMA Awards will be revealed on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 a.m. CT, with the complete list also being posted on the CMA Awards’ website.

This year’s CMA Awards will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, airing from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and the following day on Hulu.

Hosts, performers and presenters for this year’s show will be revealed in the coming weeks. The winners for the 58th annual CMA Awards will be determined in a final round of voting by eligible CMA professional voting members. The third and final ballot will be emailed to CMA members on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with voting ending Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. CT.

Finalists for the 2024 CMA Broadcast Awards will also be revealed Monday, Sept. 9, with winners announced in October.  

At last year’s CMA Awards ceremony, Lainey Wilson was named entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year, while her album Bell Bottom Country was named album of the year. Jelly Roll was named new artist of the year and Chris Stapleton won male vocalist of the year. Meanwhile, the Tracy Chapman-written “Fast Car,” performed by Luke Combs, was named song of the year and single of the year.

Other winners last year were Old Dominion (vocal group of the year), Brothers Osborne (vocal duo of the year), Jenee Fleenor (musician of the year) and Hardy featuring Lainey Wilson’s “Wait in the Truck” (musical event of the year and music video of the year, for the Justin Clough-directed clip).
