‘Cowboy Bebop’ is coming to ‘Fortnite’
Fortnite has confirmed an official collaboration with space Western anime Cowboy Bebop will launch as part of Chapter Six, Season Two.
Fortnite Battle Royale: Chapter Six, Season Two went live earlier today (February 21) and Epic Games has now revealed what fans can expect from the next six weeks of the game.
“In Crime City, the hustle never stops,” explains the dedicated blog. “Stick ‘em up! It’s time to blow that vault door wide open and make a… “withdrawal.” Ransack Fletcher Kane’s banks, take over his armored cars, even pull off a train robbery! The outlaw Midas returns with a new motley crew including wannabe hip-hop icon Big Dill, Cassidy Quinn, and more. There’s no such thing as honour among thieves in Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 6 Season 2: LAWLESS!”
Run amok in Crime City – gold vaults, Rocket Drills, and so much mayhem.

However on March 1, players who are more interested in stopping criminals can make use of the new Cowboy Bebop crossover. A number of special Cowboy Bebop quests will be made available, with the XP earned for completing the missions used to unlock bonus items such as the Cowboy Bebop Wrap and Legends Loading Screen. Players have until March 18 to complete these missions.
To get you in the mood, two Cowboy Bebop skins (Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine) will also be available to purchase in the Fortnite shop from February 28.
The original series of Cowboy Bebop premiered in 1998 before an English dub was broadcast in North America in 2001. The first anime to air on Adult Swim, Cowboy Bebop introduced a generation to anime and the show remains hugely popular, despite only running for three chapters and a full-length film. A Netflix live-action adaptation launched in 2021 but was cancelled after one season due to poor reviews.
Original director Shinichirō Watanabe criticised the adaptation, saying “it was clearly not Cowboy Bebop” but a petition to revive the remake earned more than 120,000 signatures and the show’s star John Cho said he was “shocked” by the series’ cancellation.
In other news, Epic Games recently made one Fortnite cheater post an apology video and pay back their tournament winnings. “Cheating is never a winning strat,” they explained.
