Deftones launch new ‘Bored’ blueberry beer
Deftones have teamed up with Belching Beaver Brewery and released a brand new ‘Bored’ blueberry beer that is available for purchase.
Chino Moreno and co announced the collaboration with the brewery on the band’s official social media accounts. The post featured a photo of the beer cans with the caption: “Introducing our newest collaboration with @BelchingBeaver… Bored is a wheat ale, amplified with blueberries and a touch of vanilla, coming in at 4.5% ABV.”
Named after the first track from Deftones’ 1995 LP ‘Adrenaline’, Bored beer will be available at all Belching Beaver taprooms beginning today (August 9th), and is also available for purchase via CraftShack.
The ‘Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)’ hitmakers have previously collaborated with Belching Beaver on various beers throughout the years, including Phantom Bride IPA, Swerve City IPA, and Good Morning Beautiful brown ale, among others.
The announcement of the drinks comes shortly after Deftones performed at this year’s edition of Lollapalooza and ahead of their annual one-off Dia De Los Deftones festival slated for later this year.
Dia De Los Deftones 2024 will take place at Petco Park in San Diego, California on Saturday, November 2. The likes of IDLES, Sunny Day Real Estate, HEALTH and more will be performing.
In other news, the band recently played an intimate show in Chicago ahead of their Lollapalooza set, where they broke out the first performance of their track ‘Passenger’ in five years.
Elsewhere, last month a study found Deftones are the most popular metal band to listen to during sex.
The study, carried out by ZipHealth, found that 47 per cent of respondents said that they regularly listen to music during sex, and Deftones were found to be one of the most popular choices. They were the only band from a hard rock or metal category to be featured in the Top 10 overall acts. Others who topped the list included Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Lana Del Rey.
