Disney Channel star Skai Jackson arrested at theme park following “domestic incident”
Actress Skai Jackson has been arrested at a theme park due to a “domestic incident”.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the Jessie actress was arrested at Universal Studios in Hollywood on Friday (August 9). They also confirmed that Jackson was arrested for “spousal battery”, with police alleging that she was the “primary aggressor”.
Page Six further reported that police were called when on-site security allegedly saw Jackson push her boyfriend. Upon detaining the pair and reviewing CCTV, Jackson was apparently shown to have pushed him twice.
The police added that “the investigation is ongoing and will be sent to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for filing”. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Department further stated that Jackson has been taken to a police station in West Hollywood for booking and released a few hours later.
According to TMZ, sources also told the publication that the couple supposedly denied “anything got physical”, claiming they were instead “happily engaged” and “expecting a baby together”. Jackson’s representatives have yet to respond to comment.
The actress is best known for her role as Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel sitcom Jessie, which ran from 2011-2015. At the time, Jackson was 9 years of age. She went on to star as Ross in the Jessie spinoff Bunk’d from 2015-2018.
Since then, she has starred as the lead role in the film Sheroes (2023) and placed as a semi-finalist on Dancing With The Stars US in 2020.
She has also gone on to appear in Lil Nas X’s music video for ‘Panini’ in 2019.
