Disney+ drops thrilling ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’ trailer
Disney+ has released a trailer for its upcoming original K-drama No Way Out: The Roulette.
The upcoming crime-thriller drama follows police officer Baek Joong-sik (Signal’s Cho Jin-woong), who is forced to protect the life of a heinous criminal, Kim Guk-ho (Reply 1988’s Yoo Jae-myung), after his release from prison.
In the new trailer, a news announcer shares that a masked vigilante – known for handing out rewards for random acts dictated by the spin of a roulette – has put out a hit on Kim Guk-ho, who has just completed a 13-year prison sentence. With a KRW15billion reward on the line, different parties begin plotting their hit on Kim.
Upon Kim Guk-ho’s release, Baek informs him of the situation and becomes his police guard, responding to the various threats and attempts on his life.
No Way Out: The Roulette also stars Kim Moo-yeol as Lee Sang-bong, a lawyer employed by Kim Guk-ho who argues that his rights are being violated. Yum Jeong-ah (SKY Castle) plays An Myeong-ja, a powerful politician, while actor-comedian Lee Kwang-soo stars as butcher Yoo Chang-jae, who is trying to recover a large sum of money he lost.
The upcoming K-drama will include a total of eight episodes, and is set to premiere on July 31 via Disney+.
Late actor Lee Sun-kyun was originally casted to play officer Baek Joong-sik, but dropped out of the project in October 2023 after his alleged involvement in a drug investigation was made public.
Last week, Disney+ unveiled a trailer for another K-drama, The Tyrant, which will premiere in August. Led by Cha Seung-won and Kim Seon-ho, the series follows the chaos that ensues after a dangerous government-developed biochemical enhancer is stolen.
