Disney+ K-drama ‘Seoul Busters’: cast, plot, premiere date and all you need to know
Disney+ has released an action-packed trailer for its upcoming K-drama Seoul Busters, starring Kim Dong-wook, Seo Hyun-woo and more. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the new series.
What is the plot of Seoul Busters?
Seoul Busters is a crime comedy-drama that follows elite violent crimes team leader Dongbang Yu-bin as he takes on a new role heading up Songwon Police Station’s violent crimes team, the lowest ranked squad in the country. Formed by the misfits of the police force, Yu-bin struggles to whip them into shape.
Who is in the cast of Seoul Busters?
Seoul Busters is led by Along with the Gods actor Kim Dong-wook as lead detective Dongbang Yu-bin. He is joined by Park Ji-hwan (Our Blues) as Mu Jung-ryeok, a sharp-tongued former boxer and the veteran detective of team 2.
Meanwhile, Seo Hyun-woo (A Shop for Killers, Flower of Evil) plays Jeong Jeong-hwan, a former shooter for the South Korean national team who now works tirelessly to support his wife and four children. The only woman on the team is the easy-going Seo Min-seo (played by Park Se-wan), while its youngest member Jang Tan-sik is played by Lee Seung-woo.
Is there a trailer for the upcoming Disney+ K-drama?
On August 20, Disney+ released a light-hearted trailer for the upcoming series. The clip opens with the team arriving at their new temporary office space in an abandoned day care centre. We go on to see scenes of their attempts to chase down criminals in their investigations, landing them in strange and awkward mishaps.
When Yu-bin shows up, the rest of the team appear apprehensive, and begin testing the waters with his authority. While Yu-bin does seem to help them become more effective, their clumsiness and silly actions also start to rub off on him in time.
How to watch Seoul Busters?
