Dizzee Rascal announces ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’ 15th anniversary UK tour
Dizzee Rascal has shared details of a new UK and Ireland tour, celebrating 15 years of ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’. Find ticket details below.
Announced today (August 14), the upcoming shows will take place later this year, and see the grime pioneer play in various cities around the country in support of his huge fourth album.
Arriving back in September 2009, the record contained the chart-topping singles ‘Dance wiv Me’, ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dirtee Disco’, was certified platinum, and remains his best-selling LP to date.
Now, to celebrate the 15-year milestone, Dizzee has announced a series of special headline gigs which will see him perform the tracklist in full.
These kick off later this year, and begin with an opening night at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton on October 17. The tour continues throughout the month, with a follow-up show at London’s Eventim Apollo the next day (18), and gigs lined up for Glasgow, Dublin and Manchester on October 20, 22 and 23, respectively.
The dates round off with a final night at the O2 Academy in Leeds on October 24.
Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday August 28 at 10am BST. Visit here to buy yours and check out a full list of shows below.
Dizzee Rascal’s UK and Ireland ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’ tour dates are:
OCTOBER
17 – Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
18 – Eventim Apollo, London
20 – O2 Academy, Glasgow
22 – 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin

To mark the occasion, the artist – real name Dylan Kwabena Mills – will also be sharing some never-before-released content. This includes a number of remixes and live versions of the tracks, as well as a remix of ‘Bonkers’ made alongside Buckley.
The latter comes following the two joining forces in 2023 and igniting the electronic music scene with the viral ‘Buckley Edit’ version of the track.
Further details about the unreleased tracks and never-before-seen material are set to be shared at a later date.
In other Dizzee Rascal news, the artist recently revealed that he was given the beat to Beyoncé‘s 2013 single ‘Partition’, but was forced to give it up because he “couldn’t come up with” anything.
“This time I was around in LA – it was 2011, 2012 or something,” he recalled. “I was working with these different producers and some of them gave me little beat packs. In one of them, there was this beat; it was wicked. I was like, ‘Ah!’ – I just couldn’t come up with nothing for it.”
As well as ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’, Rascal is also recognised for his Mercury Prize-winning debut album ‘Boy In Da Corner’, which is widely credited as bringing grime into the mainstream in the early ’00s. The rapper celebrated the record’s 20th anniversary in a one-off gig at London’s The O2 in 2022, where he performed it in full.
At the start of this year, Rascal shared his eighth studio album ‘Don’t Take It Personal’, which included verses from P Money, BackRoad Gee, Not3s and D Double E. The record had two lead singles: the exuberant track ‘What You Know About That’ with JME and D Double E and ‘How Did I Get So Calm’.
