Does ‘Inzoi’ have multiplayer?
Inzoi has just been released on PC, and a number of players already have some key questions about the experience during early access. One of those key questions revolves around Inzoi multiplayer.
Thankfully, there is good news for players.
Inzoi doesn’t have multiplayer right now. While not confirmed, it does sound like Inzoi will be getting multiplayer functionality in the future, according to several developers.
During interviews and on the game’s Discord server, the developers have hinted towards an Inzoi multiplayer mode or some multiplayer features. In the FAQ on Discord it says
“We are currently considering various multiplayer features, such as the ability to meet up with other online players or invite them over to your home. But specific details have not been decided.” On top of that, during a showcase for the game, director Hyungjun Kim said:
“If we get a lot of feedback and demands from our players on multiplayer, then maybe we could get more specific ideas and start implementing them.”
So, it sure sounds like multiplayer is on the table if enough people ask for it, and just a few hours into launch there are already a lot of requests for a multiplayer mode or multiplayer functionality to be added in. We will be keeping this guide updated with the latest details as and when they are announced.
The Sims doesn’t currently have official multiplayer either, outside of mods. However, a multiplayer addition for The Sims 4 is in the works, as EA favoured it over an entirely new game. Project Rene is another evolution of this, which was announced several years ago by EA. So, if Inzoi gets multiplayer before The Sims it will have a leg up on the franchise.
Inzoi is out now on PC and will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
