DPR IAN drops otherworldly music video for new single, ‘Saint’
Korean-Australian musician DPR IAN has released his new EP titled ‘Saint’ and a music video for the title track.
DPR IAN’s new music video for ‘Saint’ opens with the singer making his way through an apocalyptic wasteland, dragging a sword with him as he narrates the clip. As the music begins, he is shown to possess supernatural powers, which allows him to retrieve the sword from the ruins of a temple and later, control the elements.
“Will I ever let you go? Will I ever let you go? / I burn everything you left in me / Then all your cries are ecstasy / And I am no saint, and I am no saint,” he sings on the EDM song.
In addition to ‘Saint’, the new release includes the songs ‘Skins’ and ‘Limbo’, which DPR IAN previously previewed through music videos, as well as instrumental versions of all three tracks. In an Instagram post promoting the release, the singer also included the hashtag “#thehybridcomingsoon”, possibly teasing another follow-up song or record.
Over the weekend, DPR IAN also shared a poster for an upcoming 2024 world tour titled ‘The Dream Reborn’. At the time of publishing, the singer has yet to unveil additional details apart from its title.
The release of ‘Saint’ comes about eight months after the musician dropped his second EP ‘Dear Insanity…’, led by the singles ‘So I Danced’ and ‘Don’t Go Insane’ in October 2023. Earlier this year, DPR IAN collaborated with South Korean singer IU on the music video for her single ‘Shopper’.
Elsewhere, South Korea-based Japanese girl group XG have released new dates for their 2024 ‘The First Howl’ world tour in Asia and North America. Having kicked off the tour last month in Japan, the tour will next head to Asia as well as the US.
