Dreamcatcher’s Siyeon to take time off from the group amid health issues
Siyeon of Dreamcatcher will not be joining promotions for the K-pop group’s upcoming album ‘VirtuouS’ amid health issues.
Today (July 5), Dreamcatcher Company shared that the singer will be taking time off due to health issues. According to the agency, per Korea JoongAng Daily, Siyeon had been displaying symptoms of anxiety and was told by her doctors to rest from work.
“The artist’s health was our utmost priority, which is why we decided, after thorough communication with Siyeon, that she focus on regaining her health,” it said. “We will inform you as soon as she [Siyeon] can return to her schedule.”
Dreamcatcher are currently gearing up to release their tenth mini-album ‘VirtuouS’ and its lead single ‘Justice’ on July 10. JiU, SuA, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon will be promoting the release as a six-member act.
The girl group are also in the middle of their 2024 ‘Luck Inside 7 Doors’ world tour. They have completed shows in South Korea, Taiwan and across Europe, and will embark on the Americas leg of their show this September. it’s currently unclear if Siyeon will be joining them on their upcoming shows.
In other K-pop news, girl group LIMELIGHT have started teasing ex-Kep1er’s Mashiro and Yeseo as possible new members of the act. The duo’s contract as Kep1er members expired this week, following their decision not to extend their time with the project girl group.
Elsewhere, ASTRO member Yoon Sanha is preparing to make his solo debut next month. His agency Fantagio Music confirmed that the singer is aiming to release his first album sometime this August.
