Dua Lipa is done playing “Houdini” and has resurfaced on our feeds teasing new music. The Barbie movie actress announced a fresh single titled “Houdini,” as well as surprise launch events in the U.K., Japan and the U.S. to celebrate its drop on Nov. 9, according to her latest Instagram post.
What caught our eye, though, was the see-through top she wore in her first announcement on Instagram. From first glance, it appears as though she’s wearing a preppy Peter Pan-collared black sheer top, but it’s actually a short-sleeve bodysuit by Maison Margiela — and it’s still in stock!
“I’m putting on three surprise launch events for Houdini in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The first one’s going to be in my hometown, London, this Thursday!!!” the caption says.
The bodysuit marks a step away from Lipa’s Y2K style, which is normally her go-to aesthetic. Instead, the ruffle hem sleeves and micro pleated bodice show off a more elevated yet romantic look that’s versatile enough to be paired with pleated skirts and a teddy coat.
Looking for a more wallet-friendly style? We found alternatives to the Maison Margiela bodysuit that still boasts the trendiness — without burning a hole in your wallet.
