‘Elden Ring: Nightreign’ is coming sooner than you might think

'Elden Ring: Nightreign'.

Elden Ring: Nightreign has confirmed a release date and you’ll be able to play it sooner than you think.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is a spin-off from FromSoftware’s epic online game Elden Ring. Acting solo or as a team of three, players will have to survive a long weekend in the open-world expanse of Limveld and defeat a number of imposing bosses.

The rougelike game was first announced back in December and it’s now been confirmed that you’ll be able to play it from May 30, 2025. The news was shared alongside a new, pre-order trailer which can be seen below:

As well as a release date, developers have also revealed the price for Elden Ring: Nightreign. The standard version of the game is available to pre-order from £35 while a deluxe edition, featuring a future expansion, digital artbook and “mini” soundtrack, will cost £47.99. It’ll be available for PlayStation, Xbox and PC gamers.

There’s also a collectors edition of Elden Ring: Nightreign that features the base game and the DLC alongside a 40-page artbook, a 25cm statue of nightfarer Wylder and other goodies. However it’s not currently available to pre-order from the official Elden Ring store due to a technical glitch.

It’s good news for one YouTuber who previously vowed to take on one of Elden Ring’s toughest bosses every day until Nightreign was released. Chickensandwich420 is currently 53 days into their quest to beat Messmer The Impaler using a different weapon every time but had warned viewers the game needed to released before June or they’d run out of options.

A network test for Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to take place this weekend (February 14) however some lucky participants have been selling their access to the beta for up to £350 on sites such as eBay.

In other news, it turns out streamer Kai Cenat and Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire are friends, and the internet can’t cope.
