Eminem Endorses Kamala Harris & Inspires President Obama to Rap to ‘Lose Yourself’ | Billboard News
Eminem has officially endorsed Kamala Harris while also having Barack Obama starstruck at Harris’ Detroit rally. Keep watching to see what went down!
Tetris Kelly:
Eminem made a rare public appearance at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit, where he introduced Barack Obama and endorsed Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
Eminem:
Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever and I think it’s important to use your voice. I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country, where this freedom and many others will be protected and upheld.
Tetris Kelly:
Obama hit the stage and admitted he was a little nervous following in the footsteps of the iconic Detroit rapper. The former president even rapped a cappella to Em’s “Lose Yourself” anthem, which was also his walkout music.
Barack Obama:
I got to say, you know I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous. But I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem. Now I notice, my palms are sweating, knees weak, arms are heavy, vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti. I’m nervous but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs but I keep on forgetting. Love me some Eminem.
Tetris Kelly:
The move hyped up the Detroit crowd, although Obama’s long been a fan of Slim Shady. He revealed in a 2020 interview that “Lose Yourself” was one of the tracks that served as inspiration while he was on the presidential campaign trail in 2008.
Barack Obama:
When I needed some inspiration on the presidential campaign I often turned to music. It was rap that got my head in the right place, two songs especially.
Keep watching for more!
