Originally released in 2013, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag arrived in-between 2012’s Assassin’s Creed 3 and 2014’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity, with the main story transporting players to The Golden Age Of Piracy in the West Indies (1715 – 1722).
Once again, players find themselves in the middle of an age-old struggle between The Assassins, who are champions of peace and free-will, and their sworn enemies The Templar – who want the exact opposite. However, developers managed to break away from what had come before in Black Flag, focusing the story around pirate federations and looting treasure.
With plenty of ship-based open world exploration and numerous swashbuckling battles to complete, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag has remained a highlight of the long-running franchise.
The game also employs a number of quick cheat codes to change up the difficulty or dial up the silliness. Here’s every Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag cheat code:
How do cheat codes work in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag?
Rather than exploiting a glitch, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag utilises a series of unlockable cheats that can be activated as soon as players have completed a certain number of Abstergo Challenges.
Abstergo Challenges are a series of bonus missions that can be found across the world of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and include things like looting bodies, climbing to certain heights and skinning animals. Just by working through the main storyline of the game, players will undoubtedly complete a number of these tasks. The complete list of challenges can be found here.
Once a certain number of challenges have been completed, players will need to access the dedicated ‘challenges’ menu after pausing the game, before locating the ‘cheats’ menu and toggling the required, unlocked cheat. When cheats are activated, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag won’t save.
