EXO drop music video for ‘Cream Soda’
EXO have officially released their seventh album, titled ‘Exist’, alongside a music video for lead single ‘Cream Soda’.
The K-pop boyband’s new album is the group’s first record in two years. The accompanying video for ‘Cream Soda’ features seven members of the boyband, with Kai unable to join due to his military enlistment. However, a nod was made towards the member in the clip, with a placard with his name seen in the video.
Neither ‘Cream Soda’ nor ‘Exist’ feature ninth member Lay, who has largely been on hiatus from the group since 2017. The singer last joined the group in 2021 for ‘Don’t Fight the Feeling’.
Elsewhere, EXO are working on a new reality show, SM Entertainment previously confirmed. In a statement to South Korean news outlet Newsen, the label revealed that that all active members of EXO are set to film a brand-new reality show together in Korea.
Meanwhile, EXO members Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chen have reportedly revolved their differences with SM Entertainment over their contracts. According to a statement by SM, per Star News, the two sides have managed to reach a mutually amicable agreement over the “misunderstanding” following careful discussions.
Last month, the trio had filed to terminate their contracts with the agency over alleged “mistreatment and unfair contract terms”. At the time, SM Entertainment had refuted claims made by the three EXO members, while alleging that “outside forces” have been cajoling its artists to violate the terms of their contracts.
