Former Pandora Curator Diego Herrera Joins Ineffable Records

Ineffable Records, the label division of Ineffable Music Group, has announced the appointment of Diego Herrera as director of Business Development. Herrera joins the leading independent reggae label after close to a decade at Pandora, where he played a pivotal role in music curation, specializing in pushing forward reggae, dancehall, soca, and other Caribbean genres.

“Diego’s passion to help artists grow their audiences is second to none,” said Adam Gross, president of Ineffable Records. “I have seen first hand his fight to push forward initiatives that have benefited countless artists, and his skillset that includes his ear and love for music combined with his understanding of curation and data make him the optimal person to join our team. The growth we’ve experienced in recent years is due to forward thinking artist first initiatives. We believe in a label model focused on audience growth, the lost art of A&R, and shaping deals that recoup in a timely manner so that artists can develop passive income streams that allow them to pursue their dreams and goals. I genuinely believe the various scenes and subgenres we work in are just beginning to scratch the surface of what they will become, and there is no one better to add than Diego in pursuit of these goals.”

Diego tells Billboard, “I had the opportunity to work with Ineffable on a number of projects and releases during my time at Pandora. I am thrilled to now be part of their team,” adding, “I see this as a continuation of the work I’ve been doing in elevating various music scenes, including reggae, dancehall, and soca music – just now from the label side. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge of the industry and ear for music to my new role. I’m excited to work with artists and their teams to create the best opportunities for their music to be heard and to help expand the musical horizons for the Ineffable Records label.”

Ineffable Records has also announced the promotion of Jeremy “J” Namkung to the position of director of operations and has added Maggie Hartigan as label operations coordinator.

As Ineffable Records continues to expand its roster of artists and release music through groundbreaking techniques, these strategic moves will strengthen the label’s ability to support for its artists. Ineffable Records has released music from Sean Paul, Kes, The Hip Abduction, Shwayze, and many more. The label also provides services to Ineffable Management clients such as Stick Figure, Collie Buddz and Trevor Hall.
