‘Fortnite’ is down: when will servers be back up?
The Fortnite servers are currently down for schedlued maintenence.
Video game servers often go offline for schedlued maintenence, and Fortnite‘s have been down since 9am BST for the 31.10 update for Chapter 5 Season 4. It is currently not possible to join a game. This season is titled Absolute Doom and has added a host of Marvel characters to the island.
This is likely to be a longer period of downtime than usual due to the size of the incoming update, but it is unclear how long the servers will be down for. The Doctor Doom skin as well as the relevant challenges for unlocking it will be added along with new mythic items, super skins, and some unannounced skins once the servers go back online.

Other dates for periods of scheduled maintenence are September 14, October 1, and October 14, one every two weeks to implement various bug fixes, gameplay tweaks, and add new items to the store.
Although Fortnite is down, it recently served as inspiration for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie currently in development at Marvel. Marvel villain Gallactus featured in Fortnite, and Marvel boss Kevin Feige said, “the clip of Galactus destroying the island is so cool, I shared it with the team to get that spirit of Galactus across.”
In other news, Soulslike game Enotria: The Last Song has been delayed indefinitely on Xbox. The developers claim it is because Microsoft hasn’t replied to them in “months”.
