Fuerza Regida’s JOP on Inspiration for ‘Secreto Victoria’ | How It Went Down | Billboard
JOP from Fuerza Regida shares how he and the band created the catchy, Jersey club vibe for “Secreto Victoria.” Let us know what you think of their new song in the comments!
JOP:
Hey, what’s up? This is JOP and this is how it went down with my song “Secreto Victoria.” We were in Ciudad de México, and I remember we were in the studio working on the song “Bella” on the production. And we got a little irritated. We left two producers down there, and we went up to the top floor, and we just started writing that song. I remember Diego just started spitting a flow, and then we just finished the song. It was, like, 30 minutes.
The inspiration behind the lyrics of that song, I remember we were in Ciudad de Mexico with Diego, Angel Ureta, George — those are some of my writers on my label — and the inspiration for that song was the same inspiration for the album, Pero No Te Enamores, you feel me? The track was produced by Rabba, Charly, Twenty9, myself and Streamline Records, all the team. It’s my squad. I only work with my team most of the time. Here and there, I work outside the house, but most of the time it’s only my writers, my producers.
When we made this song, “Secreto Victoria,” the melody and everything, the lyrics were really catchy. I remember, I was like, “I want the song in the album.” I send it to get produced. They sent it back to me and they have Jersey club on it because they knew I wanted Jersey club on a lot of these songs.
Keep watching for more!
