Graham Norton has praised Taylor Swift and her ability to be “so close to normal” despite her massive fame.

The ‘Bejeweled’ singer has appeared four times on The Graham Norton Show throughout the course of her career so far. While appearing as a guest on the Kyle and Jackie O radio Show, the host and comedian opened up about how down-to-earth Swift is despite being one of the world’s biggest stars.

“Someone like Taylor Swift, who is arguably the most famous woman in the world – it’s remarkable how she appears to be so close to normal,” he told the radio hosts (per her.ie).

He continued: “It’s like she can change the economy of a country just by showing up, yet she’s so lovely and normal, and just fantastic.”

Norton also applauded Swift’s ability to create “easy” songs as a way to protect her voice. “I remember saying to her, you know, because she’s going on a big, long tour. And I said to her, ‘Are you worried about keeping your voice?’ And she went: ‘No, I write songs that are easy to sing,’” Norton said.

“She always has been super sweet,” he continued, adding: “Like, she went from that gangly giraffe teenager country girl into a megastar, but has been the same from the beginning to the end. I love her. She literally decided ‘I will write easy to sing songs. And therefore, I need never worry about my voice because I’ll be fine.’ And also, now all the fans sing all of them.”

In other news, Swift recently became the world’s richest female musician, with an estimated net worth of $1.6billion (£1.2billion).

According to Forbes, the ‘Love Story’ singer now tops the list of the richest female musicians – surpassing Rihanna who reportedly has a net worth of $1.4billion (£1billion).

Elsewhere, Swift is set to re-commence the final stretch of her ongoing ‘Eras’ tour in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on October 18, before ending the mammoth ‘Eras Tour’ run in Vancouver, Canada in early December.

Swift recently shared that she’s backing Democratic Party candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming US election.

Last month, the singer announced her endorsement of Harris’ presidential candidacy, championing her as “a steady-handed, gifted leader”. Swift added: “She fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them… I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

The update sparked backlash from Trump, who made headlines soon afterwards by sharing a post on social media reading “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”.
