Green Day Gets an Igloo Makeover in Newest Collaboration: Shop the ‘Nimrod’ Edition Here

Green Day wants us to say “Good Riddance” to ordinary coolers and hello to their latest collaboration with Igloo. Now, you can officially crack open a cold one with the members of the punk-rock ’90s band — well, an Igloo KoolTunes Cooler version of them, that is.

The special-edition design was released on Tuesday (Oct. 17), and was inspired by the band’s popular album Nimrod. Unlike your basic cooler, the Green Day version joins the growing collection of music coolers by Igloo called KoolTunes.

What differentiates a KoolTunes version from any other cooler? The main design component is its Bluetooth built-in speakers that’ll let you blast “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “American Idiot” and more of your favorite Green Day songs without having to also carry portable speakers. Plus, one single charge can play up to 10 hours of music, which means you won’t have to hunt for an outlet during your housewarming party or beach day.

Beyond the Green Day cooler’s ability to play music, the hard material features a fade-resistant UV coating that’s also water- and dust-proof to keep it looking fresh and pristine year-round. You can also fill the interior up with up to 26 cans thanks to its 14-quart size. When you go to grab a drink or snack, the lid can swivel open on either side for easier access.

One side features two low-profile 5-watt speakers while the other side features a control panel with buttons including LED status indicator, a charging port and power, Bluetooth pairing and volume buttons. Don’t worry about digging for a charger either, the KoolTunes cooler comes with its own 3-foot cord that you can also take with you on the go.
