Guitar.com and MusicTech return to print with new magazines
NME Networks has revealed that Guitar.com and MusicTech will both be returning to print this spring.
Back after a four-year hiatus, both publications will be returning in all-new premium magazine formats and set to be included with every bi-monthly edition of NME.
Celebrating innovative talent and stellar music gear, Guitar.com will launch in print on Thursday May 29 while MusicTech will be available from Thursday July 31. The releases will alternate with each bi-monthly copy of NME, meaning that three print editions of each will be delivered each calendar year.
Offering fans more value, the publications will feature digital covers each month too – highlighting the most outstanding gear and artists, as well as delivering in-depth features, exclusive behind-the-scenes videos and social-first content.
Alongside the new print editions, exclusive opportunities will be offered to readers who sign up for the respective mailing lists as a part of each launch. More details about this will be announced shortly, and you can visit here to sign up for the Guitar.com mailing list, and here for MusicTech.
“Following the successful relaunch of NME Magazine in 2023, we’re thrilled to bring back both Guitar.com and MusicTech in high-quality print formats,” said Holly Bishop, Chief Operating & Commercial Officer at NME Networks.
“These new magazines will reward our global audiences with the thought-provoking features and insightful reviews our brands are world-famous for. We can’t wait for you to dive in.”
News that NME would be returning to print was first shared in July 2023, when it was announced that a bi-monthly global print edition was set to showcase the best new artists and bands on earth, as well as exclusive new franchises, unmissable features, industry insight and expert reviews of the latest music, TV, film, and gaming releases.
It was rising indie singer and BandLab break-out D4VD who was the first artist to grace the cover, and subsequent editions have featured K-pop megastars ENHYPEN, BRIT Award-winners The Last Dinner Party, Mercury Prize winners English Teacher, Icelandic-Chinese sensation Laufey, global pop phenomenon Chappell Roan and many more.
To celebrate the success of the launch, NME went on to publish NME The Cover 2023-2024 last November – a premium new coffee-table book that celebrated one year of championing new talent.
