Gwenno, Bob Dylan tribute and more for Green Man 2025 London launch event

Gwenno is set to headline a launch event for Green Man Festival 2025 in London later this month.

Green Man is Wales’ largest independent music, science and arts festival and will celebrate its 23rd year in 2025, running at its Glanusk Estate site in the Brecon Beacons from August 14 to 17. Tickets for the festival sold out in 60 minutes in September. The line-up has not yet been announced.

Now, the festival’s organisers have announced a launch event for the 2025 line-up to take place at The Lexington in London on February 28. An evening of live music will feature sets from Gwenno, the Bob Dylan tribute act Broadside Hacks and the London duo Silver Gore, followed by late night DJs.

There will also be a raffle at the event, offering attendees the chance to win two tickets to Green Man 2025. Tickets for the launch event are available here.

Gwenno recently served as one of the ambassadors for Independent Venue Week 2025, which concluded on Sunday (February 2). The singer-songwriter and Mercury Prize nominee was the representative for Wales and played a special solo show at Cardiff’s Acapela Studio on Wednesday (January 29).

The former Pipettes singer has released three solo albums, most recently 2022’s ‘Tresor’, which featured lyrics sung almost entirely in Cornish.

Last year’s Green Man Festival was headlined by Big ThiefSamphaSleaford Mods and Jon Hopkins, with additional appearances from Ezra CollectiveArlo ParksThe Jesus and Mary ChainBlack Country, New Road and Blondshell.

It also saw The Big Moon’s Juliette Jackson marry her partner Max on site, 10 years after they had first met at the festival while they were both delivering packages for the Secret Post Office, the free service that allows festival-goers to send letters and cards to others on site. Max had also proposed to the singer during the band’s set at Green Man in 2019.
