HAIM join the line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025
HAIM have been added to the stacked line-up for this year’s edition of Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Find ticket details below.
The 2025 edition of the festival will take place at Sefton Park in Liverpool between Friday, May 23 and Sunday, May 25. The first wave of artists joining the bill was shared towards the start of the year, featuring names like Sam Fender, Blossoms, Lola Young, Wet Leg and BRIT Rising Star 2025 winner Myles Smith.
In the weeks since then, more names have been added to the schedule, including Wolf Alice, Inhaler, Aitch, Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, Confidence Man, Barry Can’t Swim, Nia Archives, Katy B, Crawlers and The Wombats. The most recent announcement featured Mumford & Sons, Jorja Smith, Self Esteem, Tate McRae and JADE.
Now, confirmation was shared this morning (March 26) that American sister-trio HAIM will be joining the bill too.
It comes as the group – comprised of Danielle, Este and Alana – recently shared the latest preview to their upcoming album in the form of breezy new single ‘Relationships’.
They have also been dropping hints about what to expect from the new record, revealing that it is expected to feature an as-yet-uncleared sample of George Michael and was inspired by Beyoncé.
Their set at Big Weekend will take place on Sunday May 25. Speaking about being added to the line-up, the trio said: “We are so excited to be back at Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Can’t wait to play some new songs for you in Liverpool!”

Haim’s last release was ‘Home’ in 2023 as part of the Barbie soundtrack. Prior to that, they released the one-off song ‘Lost Track’, which was previewed during select screenings of Licorice Pizza, Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2022 coming-of-age film that starred Alana Haim alongside Cooper Hoffman.
They haven’t released an album since 2020’s ‘Women In Music Pt. III‘, which received a glowing five-star review from NME, with Rhian Daly writing: “By breaking from what the world might expect from them and letting themselves do whatever the hell they want, they have produced a record that’s experimental, soothing and vulnerable; it’s a thing of great beauty.”
BBC Radio 1 will broadcast live from the festival site across the weekend, with performances and tracks available live and on-demand via Radio 1’s iPlayer channel and BBC Sounds.
Last year’s Big Weekend took place in Luton, with performances from the likes of Coldplay, Vampire Weekend and RAYE.
