BLACKPINK singer Jennie has released a snippet of her upcoming solo single, titled ‘Mantra’.

Earlier today (October 1), BLACKPINK’s Jennie announced that she would be releasing her new solo single, titled ‘Mantra’, on October 11. It follows a series of teasers the K-pop star had released in the previous days, including a “pretty girl mantra” clip.

‘Mantra’ will be Jennie’s first solo release since inking a deal with Columbia Records via her own company Odd Atelier, which she founded last year after leaving YG Entertainment. However, the singer, alongside her BLACKPINK bandmates, are still under YG for group activities.

The first new snippet of ‘Manta’ captures Jennie with pink hair as she bites down on a cherry. “It’s not that deep, I’m not that drunk / Sometimes girls just gotta have fun / Throw it back, all that ass / Me and my sis, we’re too attached,” she sings in the teaser.

Meanwhile, a separate clip on TikTok, which uses the same snippet, features the K-pop star lip-synching along to the song while taking a sip of wine. Jennie is also seen dropping what appears to be a “mantra” keychain into the glass.

Earlier this year, Jennie collaborated with Brockhampton’s Matt Champion on ‘Slow Motion’ in March and Zico on ‘SPOT!’ in April. The BLACKPINK star also notably teased an unreleased song on TikTok in June as part of her campaign with Beats by Dre.

Jennie’s last solo release was her October 2023 song ‘You & Me’. Prior to that, the BLACKPINK singer had first her solo debut in 2018 with the single ‘Solo’.
