Bob Rivers, Larry Elder, Nina Totenberg and Shadoe Stevens are among 24 nominees for the Radio Hall of Fame, announced on Wednesday (June 14). The nominees were chosen by the Radio Hall of Fame nominating committee, with input from the radio industry and listeners.
Voting for inductees begins Friday, June 16 and runs through June 30 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The top six vote recipients will automatically gain induction. The two additional inductees that will make up the eight-person induction class will be selected by the Radio Hall of Fame nominating committee.
More than 800 industry members will receive a confidential online ballot on Friday, June 16 to cast votes for up to six nominated individuals. The confidential balloting process will be conducted by Votem.com, and overseen by Miller Kaplan’s Andrew Rosen.
The 2023 Radio Hall of Fame inductees will be announced Monday, July 24, and honored in-person at the Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 2 at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel in New York City.
“The nominating committee reviewed more than 2,500 incoming suggestions from industry members and listeners before determining this group of talented individuals,” said Kraig T. Kitchin, co-chairman of the Radio Hall of Fame. “Each nominee is deserving of induction, and I look forward to the results of the forthcoming confidential voting results.”
Dennis Green, co-chairman of the Radio Hall of Fame, added: “It never ceases to amaze me when reviewing the accomplishments of the nominees how fortunate we as fans of radio are. These talented individuals have accomplished so much and made our medium special then, now, and hopefully for years to come. The Radio Hall of Fame is honored to recognize these talented individuals as nominees for this year’s Radio Hall of Fame.”
