Netflix has released a sneak peek at upcoming K-drama Mercy For None, starring So Ji-sub, Heo Jun-ho and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the new series.

What is the plot of Mercy For None?

Adapted from popular webtoon Gwangjang, Mercy For None follows the story of Nam Gi-jun, a feared assassin known for his previous stint as a member of the notorious Bongsan Gang, led by Gu Bong-san. Gi-jun has made a reputation for himself through his knack for violence, however would later leave the gang after his brother joined a rival gang.

11 years after his departure, Gi-jun now has a peaceful life, earning his living by supplying drinks to businesses owned by Bong-san. But he is unwittingly thrust back into the cunning world of gang violence after the sudden death of his brother, who’d become a high ranking gang member. Gi-jun becomes hellbent on finding out the truth behind his brother’s untimely demise to avenge him.

Who is in the cast of Mercy For None?

Doctor Lawyer‘s So Ji-sub will star as Nam Gi-jun, while Lee Jun-hyuk of Love Scout and Vigilante fame plays his younger brother, Nam Gi-seok. Playing gang leader Gu Bong-san is A Shop For Killers‘ Ahn Kil-kang, while Bloodhounds actor Heo Jun-ho stars as Lee Joo-woon, the leader of the rival gang Gi-seok belonged to.

Other actors expected to appear in Mercy For None include Villains’ Lee Beom-soo, Lovers of the Red Sky’s Gong Myung, The Trauma Code’s Choo Yeong-woo, Mr. Plankton’s Jo Han-chul as well as Our Blues’ Cha Seung-won.

Is there a trailer for the new Netflix K-drama?

Netflix released a “sneak peek” video clip on February 4 containing a scene lifted from Mercy For None. In the two-minute-long clip, Nam Gi-jun makes a call to Sim Seong-won, who he threatens vaguely. Once he hangs up, Sim Seong-won scrambles to gather as many goons as he can at his office building, only for them to be wiped clean by Gi-jun.

How to watch Mercy for None?

Netflix has yet to announce a specific premiere date for its upcoming K-drama series, Mercy for None.
