Here’s another “new” Oasis song made by AI that’s getting fans quite excited

Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher of Oasis

Following a number of AI-generated Oasis tracks popping up last year, another computer-generated track in the style of the Britpop icons has been shared online.

The rousing track entitled ‘Ride It Out’ appears to draw on Liam Gallagher‘s current vocals rather than the band’s heyday in the ’90s, while the music itself sounds like anthems from that era.

No looking back we’re on our way / We’ve got the sound we’ve got the sway / If it’s for real it’s here to stay / We’ve got the truth in everyday / No second doubts, we ride it out” the AI version of the former Oasis frontman sings. You can listen to it below.

The track was hailed by many fans with one writing: “That’s a fantastic tune,” while another said: “Well, it’s Fantastic and I’m scared because it was completely made by a machine well done!!”

Another fan added: “Damn man. This is insane. I don’t know whether to be impressed or terrified. But fuck. This song wails.”

It comes just a year after a UK band used AI to imagine what Oasis might sound like if they were to reform and release a new album.

The eight-track record – entitled ‘AISIS’ – was developed by indie band Breezer, who created their own tracks, then added an AI version of Liam Gallagher’s voice over the top.

Described as an “alternate reality concept album”, it came about after the band got “bored of waiting for Oasis to reform.”

At the time, Liam hailed what he’d heard of the album, writing: “It’s better than all the other snizzle out there.” He then told another follower on his Twitter account that he found the project “Mad as fuck” and that “I sound mega”.

Noel Gallagher later also gave his thoughts telling NME as part of the ongoing In Conversation series: “These fucking idiots have clearly got too much time on their hands and too much money that they can afford the technology to fucking piss around doing that for a laugh,” before revealing that he was “saving up for the technology myself.”

“Then I’m just gonna dial it in to some computer and fucking churn it out when I’m 73. I’ll have 140 albums to go after I’m fucking dead to keep my kids in choc ices and fucking weed.”

He added: “People kept sending me stuff like Ringo Starr singing ‘She’s Electric’. There’s not enough hours in the day. Do we need Freddie Mercury singing ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’? Does anybody give a shit? “People are like, ‘Yeah, but it’s interesting, isn’t it?’ Who the fuck is it interesting to?”

Responding to the idea that AI has doomed us all, Noel said: “Well you are – I’m not. Fucking hell. ‘Oasis: The Lost Tapes’. Really? Is that what you think it sounds like? You can AI the singer’s voice and his tambourine playing. Afraid you can’t AI what I do. As soon as you fucking can, I’m done, I’m finished, I’m retiring – I’ll just stick it into a fucking algorithm.”

Meanwhile, the iconic Killers hit ‘Mr Brightside’ today (May 9) officially took over from Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ to become the UK’s official biggest single of all time yet to reach Number One.
